11kV Network Upgrades
Darwin Airport | BT Energy

Project Overview

The KLE 231 project involved high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) switchboard replacements across a live gas plant, requiring minimal disruption to production. Imperium was engaged to deliver the electrical engineering, detailed design, and cutover implementation strategy for two critical substations servicing LNG and LPG operations.

Scope

Imperium delivered the engineering and execution strategy to enable controlled switchboard replacement within live operational environments.

Both substations were critical to plant operation, requiring careful sequencing and risk mitigation.

  • HV and LV switchboard replacement design
  • Electrical engineering and detailed design documentation
  • Development of staged cutover strategy
  • Implementation planning to minimise production impact
  • Substation 50 – LNG Storage & Loading
  • Substation 57 – Propane/Butane Storage & Loading and LNG Boil Off Gas Handling
